The GIANTS will end the home and away season with a huge finals-shaping clash with the Western Bulldogs at Mars Stadium in Ballarat on Sunday, August 25 at 12:30pm, the AFL announced on Wednesday morning.

The last day of the home and away season, the GIANTS will face off with their fierce rivals in a match-up expected to have huge top eight or even top four implications.

Currently sitting in fourth with three rounds remaining, the GIANTS finish the home and away season with a trio of monster games, facing off with the Lions at the Gabba this Saturday, hosting the Dockers at ENGIE Stadium in round 23, and then the super Sunday clash with the ‘Dogs in round 24.

Winners of their last five games, the GIANTS are gaining momentum at the right time of the season as they look to book a spot in September in what looms as the tightest finals race in recent history.

The AFL also announced on Wednesday that kids in Victoria will go free to the final round of the home and away season, with GIANTS fan aged 14 and under able to access free general admission entry to the massive meeting with the Bulldogs.

“One of the most competitive seasons in our games history is coming to a thrilling end, with the round 24 fixture delivering an appropriate crescendo to our home and away season,” AFL CEO Andrew Dillon said.
