The GIANTS have been dealt an injury blow ahead of their clash with the Gold Coast Suns at ENGIE Stadium.

GIANTS coach Adam Kingsley will be sidelined after sustaining a significant hamstring strain during a training drill on Thursday afternoon.

The 48-year-old is expected to be sidelined for the next month.

GIANTS Head of Medical, James Rahme, said:

“It’s disappointing news for Adam.

“He has damaged his hamstring tendon which will sideline him for slightly longer than a traditional strain."

In positive news for the GIANTS, Kingsley will still be available to coach against the Suns on Saturday afternoon and will still be able to train upper body.

The GIANTS take on the Suns at ENGIE Stadium on Saturday at 1:45pm.
