SIR DOUG NICHOLLS ROUND
The AFL’s annual round recognising and celebrating Indigenous players and culture was re-named in 2016 in honour of Sir Doug Nicholls and will be celebrated across rounds 10 and 11 this year. The GIANTS will unveil their 2024 Indigenous jumper against the Bulldogs, called Maaluga Ngarriylanha - which means ‘sitting as one’. Designed by proud Gomeroi man Kayleb Waters, the jumper tells a story of unity and the leadership the GIANTS take in reconciliation and moving forward as one.
MILESTONE
GIANTS forward Jesse Hogan will play his 150th AFL game on Saturday against the Bulldogs. Originally drafted by Melbourne in 2012, Hogan played for the Demons and the Dockers across eight seasons, kicking 170 goals over 90 games before a move to the GIANTS ahead of the 2021 season. He has played 59 matches and kicked 130 goals so far, including 26 goals this season to currently sit second in the Coleman Medal.

GETTING TO ENGIE STADIUM
Fans are encouraged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time for Saturday’s big clash with the Bulldogs.
If you’re driving, consider pre-booking your parking online, available until 11:59pm the night before the game. The best parking for ENGIE Stadium is the P1 and P6 car parks.

Make a big big sound in the GIANTS Fan Zone inside ENGIE Stadium on Saturday where there’ll be the GIANTS climb and slide, the big kick, face painting, everyone’s favourite mascots GMAN and GiGi, banner making, and heaps of GIANTS giveaways! Our friends at GIANTS Netball will also be joining us in our fan zone area with lots of giveaways.

Capital Brewing Co has partnered with the GIANTS to launch the fourth year of their Trees for Tomorrow initiative in partnership with Jindabyne-based environmental charity Keep it Cool.
The 'Kick A Goal, Plant A Tree' program has Capital Brewing Co working hand in hand with the GIANTS, committing to plant a native Australian tree for every goal kicked by the GIANTS’ AFL and AFLW teams throughout the 2024 season.

The GIANTS will name their team at 6:20pm on Thursday at gwsgiants.com.au. The VFL team will be named at 12:20pm on Friday at gwsgiants.com.au.
