GIANTS Chairman Tony Shepherd AO says he is looking forward to welcoming Tony Cochrane and the Gold Coast Suns to Spotless Stadium this Saturday. 

"As a fellow expansion Club, we share a lot in common with the Suns including the challenges and opportunities of growing the game for the AFL in new markets," Mr Shepherd said. 

"The AFL has already been vindicated in its decision to put two new Clubs in QLD and NSW/ACT as evidenced by the recent broadcast rights outcomes. We wish the Suns well as we know how important they are to realising the AFL Commission's far sighted strategy to make ours a truly national game."

The Suns travel to Spotless Stadium for the first time to take on the GIANTS on Saturday afternoon from 4.35pm.
