Junior AFL club the Concord GIANTS have been named as the AFL Sydney Harbour City club of the year.

The award was presented by the new Head Coach of the GIANTS Leon Cameron at the club's presentation day.

Last year Concord became the first club in Sydney to change their name to the GIANTS after previously being known as the the Cats.

Since then the number of players at the club has almost doubled with nearly 200 boys and girls playing at the GIANTS this year.

The club was one of a number of junior AFL clubs in Sydney to play at SKODA Stadium and Tom Wills Oval this year.
