The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS will come up against AFL powerhouse, Collingwood at SKODA Stadium on Saturday night and one man who knows what to expect better than anyone at the club is Football Manager, Graeme ‘Gubby’ Allan.
Allan, who spent six years playing for Collingwood and a decade as a club administrator spoke exclusively to GIANTS TV this week about his time as a Magpie.
“I was really lucky to be involved in the 1990 Premiership, I was the football manager,” Allan said.
“That was probably the best day of my lifetime at Collingwood.”
The notoriously camera shy Allan urged all GIANTS fans to get down to SKODA Stadium on Saturday night and show the black and white army that it is our home.
“It will be a big crowd, they’re passionate and they’ll let you know what they’re thinking.
“We need all our supporters to turn up this weekend because there will be a lot of black and white in the crowd and we need a lot of orange.
“I know we’ll be going hard.”
