Draftee Darcy Jones and foundation GIANT Adam Kennedy have been moved to the club’s inactive list, with the paperwork lodged with the AFL on Thursday.
Jones suffered an ACL injury in his first VFL appearance in April this year and returned to the club in recent weeks to begin his rehab.
Kennedy ruptured his ACL in round eight against the Bulldogs in Canberra and has just returned to Sydney following surgery.
Moving the duo to the inactive list opens up two list spots for the club ahead of the mid-season rookie draft next Wednesday.
The mid-season rookie draft is the only chance clubs have during the season to add players to its list.
The mid-season rookie draft was re-introduced in 2019 to allow teams to replenish their list for the second half of the season.
The 2023 AFL mid-season draft will be held next Wednesday, May 31 from 7pm.
