Captain Toby Greene has been named in the squad to take on St Kilda at GIANTS Stadium on Sunday as he looks to return from an ankle injury.

The injury - sustained in a match-winning performance against the Swans in round seven - has caused the star forward to miss the past two matches.

Greene has trained strongly all week and is expected to complete main training on Friday to tick off his return to the field.

Also included in the 26-man squad is last week’s sub, Callan Ward, key forward Jake Riccardi, half-back Josh Fahey and ruck Kieren Briggs.

Riccardi has kicked 13 goals over the past four weeks in the VFL, including 2.2 in the GIANTS’ last-gasp win over Collingwood last weekend.

Briggs was also instrumental in the victory with 41 hit-outs, 25 disposals, eight marks and a goal. Fahey collected 26 disposals and laid four tackles.

Out of the squad is rookie defender Callum Brown, who has been omitted.

The final 22 to take on the Saints will be named at 5pm on Friday.

The GIANTS return to GIANTS Stadium for the first time since round three to take on St Kilda on Sunday afternoon in Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
