Vice-captain Josh Kelly and star half-back Lachie Whitfield return as the GIANTS get set for a big big Blues clash.
The duo - who both suffered concussions in round one - have cleared their protocols and been declared fit to face Carlton at GIANTS Stadium in a blockbuster Saturday afternoon clash.
Whitfield had 17 touches playing across half-back in round one before being ruled out of the game in the third quarter while Kelly was one of the GIANTS’ best in the stirring come-from-behind win, racking up 26 touches before he was concussed late in the game.
The duo replace Jacob Wehr (broken scapula) and Adam Kennedy (omitted) while last week’s sub, Conor Stone, has been named as an emergency.
Wehr suffered the injury during the second quarter of last week’s match and will be sidelined for approximately three months.
