Everyone knows GIANTS players are talented footballers but how much do you really know about their lives off the field?
Here are five things you didn’t know about exciting forward Jarrod Pickett.
1) Teacher’s Pet - I’ve never got a detention when I was at school and never got in any trouble. Teachers seemed to love me whatever class I was in.
2) Code Swap - I missed a season of footy when I was 14 due to an ankle injury so once I recovered I decided to play touch rugby and ended up making the state team. The next year I swapped back to footy.
3) Shoe Storer - My shoe collection is starting to get pretty big. I have about 25 pairs at the moment and try and buy a few new sets every month. It wasn’t easy bringing them all across from Perth.
4) Strong Bloodlines - I’m related to Leon Davis and a few other ex-AFL footballers. Leon has been great for me since I joined the GIANTS. I call him up every now and again for advice.
5) Movie Buff - I love to watch movies when I have time off. Will Smith would definitely be the best person to play me in a film. Bad Boys is probably my favourite movie.
This regular series of player stories aims to bring GIANTS fans closer to their heroes by giving a snapshot into their private lives.
