The GIANTS have informed Georgie Fowler and Casidhe Simmons that they will not be offered new contracts with the club for the 2023 season.

Fowler was selected with pick 59 in the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft.

The 18-year-old made her debut in round four of season six, but only managed one senior game in season seven.

Simmons, a former heptathlete, joined the GIANTS as a mature-aged recruit following the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft.

After two-games in her debut season, Simmons endured an injury-riddled campaign in season seven, which ultimately prevented her from any opportunities at AFLW level.

Head of Women’s Football, Briana Harvey, thanked Georgie and Casidhe for their contribution to the GIANTS. 

“This is a hard time for these players, but we truly thank them for helping to build the GIANTS and wish them well for their next chapter.”
