GIANTS co-captain Josh Kelly has finished equal 13th at the 2022 Brownlow Medal count at Crown Palladium on Sunday night.
The midfielder polled a total of 13 votes, 12 of which came by round 11, to finish with his second-best career count.
Carlton's Patrick Cripps was crowned the 2022 Brownlow Medallist, polling 29 votes to win from 2020 medallist Lachie Neale (28), Gold Coast star Touk Miller (27) and Fremantle midfielder Andrew Brayshaw (25) who were all chances heading into in the final round.
Tim Taranto also polled well for the GIANTS, finishing with six votes to take his career total to 33.
Harry Himmelberg and Jesse Hogan were next best with five votes apiece, with Tom Green and Stephen Coniglio rounding out the GIANTS’ top five with four votes each.
Tanner Bruhn, Callum Brown and James Peatling capped off breakthrough seasons with the first Brownlow votes of their career.
Josh Kelly now trails former co-captain Callan Ward by eight votes to sit second as the GIANTS’ all-time overall vote getter.
