Young defender Jacob Wehr and utility Jarrod Brander will be sidelined after picking up injuries over the weekend.
Wehr, who has played 10 straight AFL games since debuting in round 10, suffered a calf strain in the Sydney Derby that will sideline him for the next two to three weeks.
With three games to go, Brander has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after hurting his hamstring in the VFL on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, both Matt Flynn (ankle) and Conor Stone (hamstring) are expected to return to the field this week if the pair pass fitness tests.
Flynn has been sidelined for two matches while Stone last played in round nine as he battled hamstring complaints.
In further good news, small forward Bobby Hill has been medically cleared to return to playing games after surgery for testicular cancer at the end of May.
Hill has been steadily increasing his training loads and will look to return to the field in coming weeks.
The GIANTS take on Essendon at GIANTS Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
