Important forward Daniel Lloyd will return from injury for Sunday’s clash with Collingwood at the MCG.
Lloyd, and young midfielder Xavier O’Halloran, have been named on the field for the massive match-up.
Lloyd fractured his arm in round two against Richmond and has been back running for weeks before being cleared for full contact ahead of Sunday’s match.
O’Halloran has played seven games this season with his last coming against the Lions in round 11.
The duo are certain starters for the round 15 fixture while six players have been added to an extended interchange with the final team to be named at 5pm on Friday.
Star defender Phil Davis and 2019 Kevin Sheedy Medallist Tim Taranto have been included after making successful returns from hamstring and back injuries respectively in the VFL last weekend.
Mid-season rookie selection Wade Derksen has also been added to the squad after booting six goals in his two games since arriving at the club.
Ruck Kieren Briggs is in line to play his first game of the season while last week’s medi-sub Jarrod Brander is also on the extended bench, alongside Irishman Callum Brown.
The final interchange will be trimmed to four on Friday.
The GIANTS take on the Magpies at the MCG on Sunday at 3:20pm.
