The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS are proud to announce young midfielder Adam Treloar has been appointed ambassador of the Slater and Gordon Gentle GIANTS program.

Treloar, now entering his fourth season in the AFL, kicked off his ambassadorial role with a visit to the children’s ward at Mount Druitt Hospital alongside teammate Josh Kelly.

“The Slater and Gordon Gentle GIANTS program is a great initiative that all the players love being involved in,” Treloar said.

“Deep down we’re all just kids at heart so it’s a good feeling to help brighten up their day when they’re in hospital.

“We live a pretty fortunate life as professional footballers so it’s important to give back and help those going through a tough time."

GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews said the Slater and Gordon Gentle GIANTS was another example of the club's commitment to the community.

“Slater and Gordon has been a loyal and committed partner of the GIANTS," Matthews said.

"We know visits by players to hospitals not just help brighten people's day but also help establish meaningful connections for years to come. The Slater and Gordon Gentle GIANTS program aims to achieve both these objectives.

"Our players not only enjoy their work in the community but also recognise the importance of giving something back to those who support our game, particularly in Western Sydney and Canberra.”

Slater and Gordon’s Greater Western Sydney general manager Rachael James said the firm was once again proudly supporting the Gentle GIANTS hospital visitation program this year.

“As lawyers, we often see the emotional impact on families who have a little one in hospital,” Ms James said.

“It is great to be supporting an initiative that is helping to lift the spirits of families going through a challenging time and is just one of the ways that we can give back to the communities where we work.”

The Slater and Gordon Gentle GIANTS program will see GIANTS players regularly visit childrens’ wards at hospitals across NSW, the ACT and Victoria.
