Key forward Jesse Hogan has withdrawn from the GIANTS' team to take on Carlton at GIANTS Stadium on Sunday with illness.

Fellow forward Jake Riccardi will replace Hogan, with the 22-year-old coming in for his fifth match of the season.

Riccardi kicked nine goals in his last outing in the VFL.

Xavier O'Halloran will come into the squad of 26 as an emergency.

The GIANTS take on Carlton on Sunday at 3:20pm at GIANTS Stadium in what will be Leon Cameron's final match as senior coach.
