GIANTS defender Nick Haynes will require a fitness test later this week to determine whether he will be available for the GIANTS’ trip to Melbourne this weekend.
Haynes sustained an ankle injury in the team’s round three match against the Suns.
GIANTS Head of Medical Services James Rahme said:
“Nick requires a couple of tests in our main session later this week before a decision is made on whether he will be available to play or not.”
Young forward Conor Stone remains on track for a return to full training, potentially as soon as next week, following a hamstring injury he sustained during the AAMI Community Series.
“Conor has progressed through his rehab process well. He’s got a big week ahead of him next week and will need to pass a number of fitness tests before he puts his hand up,” Rahme said.
The GIANTS face the Demons this Saturday at the MCG at 7:25pm with live coverage on 7mate in NSW and the ACT and channel 7 nationally as well as Fox Footy and Kayo.
