Last Time They Met: The GIANTS and the Crows last met in round two of the 2021 season in a closed match. Both teams were in restricted living conditions leading into the game, having played in Perth in round one. The Crows were the winners on every line and on the scoreboard but the GIANTS had the upper hand in clearances, with star Alyce Parker (27 disposal, including a game-high 16 contested) a standout at the coalface, giving her team a 17-8 clearance advantage in the first half.

Tv & Online: The match will be broadcast live from 3:00pm (AEDT) on 7Mate as well as Foxtel, Kayo and the Official AFLW app.

What it Means for the GIANTS: The GIANTS will be looking to rectify their performance after a disappointing outing against the Demons last weekend. It was the side’s first match back following a large portion of the team being affected by COVID, however the coach Alan McConnell made no excuses and will be looking for an in their one-on-one contests. The GIANTS will be looking to hit the scoreboard earlier and put in a more consistent performance against a quality side.

Where’s the Opposition at: Adelaide come off their first loss of the season after going down to the Western Bulldogs in a tightly contested match in round six. This week the Crows highlighted their slow start in last week’s match, with the Bulldogs scoring consecutive goals off the first two clearances to take an early lead. The Crows currently sit second to Fremantle on the ladder with a percentage of 203.2%.

The Number: 6 – Saturday’s match will be the sixth time the two teams have faced off. Despite the different methods of fixturing throughout the past six seasons, the two teams have played each other every year in the regular home and away season.

In the Mix: At least two changes will be made to the GIANTS’ side following the latest injury update. Experienced players Tait Mackrill, Georgia Garnett and Lisa Steane will be looking to make their return to the side, while young guns Georgie Fowler and Brodee Mowbray will be keen to return to Henson Park following their debuts in the last Inner West game.
