With a full pre-season under his belt, Leon Cameron is confident Jesse Hogan's best football lies ahead of him.
Hogan, 26, kicked 20 goals in nine games for the GIANTS after joining the Club from Fremantle during the 2020 trade period.
While the past couple of seasons have been difficult for the key forward due in a big part to injury, Cameron believes that Hogan is primed for a big 2022 if he can get his body right.
“We saw in the backend of the year he played some really strong footy," said Cameron via Sportsday radio this week.
“If he can play 18 games this year there's no doubt he can get into some rhythm and be a really big strong presence down forward.
“He played a scratch match on Monday, he’ll go again Friday and we’ll use all of February to get him right so he can hit the ground running and touch wood we get a little bit of luck with his body."
The GIANTS will play a practice match against the Swans in Albury on February 25 before an AAMI Community Series match-up with Collingwood at GIANTS Stadium on March 6.
The GIANTS open their season with a blockbuster Sydney Derby against the Swans at Accor Stadium on March 19.
