The GIANTS are set to welcome Sydney-based fans to their first home game of the season, as they host the Western Bulldogs in Friday night footy at Henson Park.

Tickets: The round four match between the GIANTS and the Bulldogs at Henson Park is a ticketed event. All attendees must obtain a ticket in advance prior to the match via the assigned ticketing agency. GIANTS AFLW Members are entitled to a free ticket, but must redeem their complimentary ticket through the relevant ticketing agency to gain entry.

GET TICKETSLast Time They Met: The GIANTS last met the Dogs in round five of the 2021 season, with the match played at the Kennel at VU Whitten Oval in Melbourne. The GIANTS were on-par with the Dogs to begin with, but it was the home-side who went on to make it four straight wins with a 25-point win courtesy of four-goal to nothing second quarter. Erin McKinnon scored her first AFLW goal, with Bec Privitelli and Britt Tully the other major contributors on the day. Issy Huntington and Bonnie Toogood were dynamic upfront for the Dogs, scoring six of the Dogs’ seven goals.
TV & Online: The match will be broadcast live from 5pm (AEDT) on 7Mate as well as on Foxtel, Kayo and the Official AFLW App.
What it Means for the GIANTS: The GIANTS are desperate to get their season back on track having now recorded 1-2 start to the season. Where’s the Opposition at: The Bulldogs are in unheard of circumstances as the league continues to play through a global pandemic, with the side having not participated in the past two rounds due to the AFL’s Health and Safety protocols. The Bulldogs last played three weeks ago when they went down to flag favourites, the Melbourne Demons, by 24 points.
The Number: 1 – Friday night’s match against the Bulldogs at Henson Park will see the club celebrate some inaugural milestones. It will be the first time the club has played in a Pride Round jumper, across both the women’s and men’s competitions. It will also be the first AFLW match played at Henson Park.
In the Mix: Coach Alan McConnell flagged potential changes straight off the back of his sides disappointing loss against the Roos last weekend. Jasmine Grierson has been on the brink of a club debut for a few weeks, while inaugural GIANT Lou Stephenson will be looking to make her return to the squad. Bec Beeson will remain on the sideline for at least another week, while forward Tait Mackrill will be available again this week following her one-week suspension.
