Harry Perryman has signed a two-year extension, tying him to the GIANTS until the end of 2024.

The 22-year-old wasn’t out of contract until the end of 2022, but has already put pen to paper on a new deal.

Pick 14 in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft, the Collingullie product has gone from strength to strength to become an important cog in the GIANTS’ side.

The Academy graduate has played 70 games since debuting in 2017.

After a breakout season, defender Jack Buckley has also added another year to his contract to take him through to the end of 2023.

The former rookie has played 17 games since joining the club out of the AFL Sydney competition.

The 23-year-old is currently continuing his rehabilitation from a knee injury sustained in round 16.

Rookies Zach Sproule and Jake Stein have also re-signed for 2022 after career-best seasons.

Academy graduate Sproule, from Albury in southern NSW, played one game prior to this season.

In 2021 he broke through for 11 goals in 10 games, including two crucial goals in the elimination final win over the Swans.

Penrith-born Stein played six games in 2021, including both finals for the club, cementing a spot in the GIANTS’ backline late in the season.

GIANTS General Manager of Football Jason McCartney said:

“It’s really exciting to confirm another lot of re-signings.

“Harry is an important part of our side and it’s been great to see his journey over the past few years. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can produce after re-committing for another two years.

“Jack is also one that has flourished over the recent years and showed this season how important a player he can be for us.

“Both Zach and Jake are coming off career-best seasons and deserve another year on the rookie list.

“It’s great to be able to continue to show our commitment to local talent by extending these four guys.”

Meanwhile, Jacob Wehr will be delisted on Wednesday with the club committing to re-select the defender in the upcoming rookie draft in late November.
