The GIANTS will blood their fourth debutant of the season with Jeremy Finlayson to play his first AFL game against Geelong at Spotless Stadium on Saturday night.
The 21-year-old has been included in the team to face the Cats with running back Zac Williams withdrawing with hamstring tightness.
Finlayson grew up in Culcairn in southern NSW and was drafted from the GIANTS Academy in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft, pre-selected with pick 85.
Initially playing as a tall forward, the 196cm and 91kg prospect is incredibly agile with strong marking ability which has seen him play almost every position on the ground.
Finlayson switched to playing predominately in defence across half-back for the GIANTS Reserves last season where he impressed, winning the club’s NEAFL Development Award.
