Stand-in captain Toby Greene will be free to line up against Hawthorn after being fined for striking in last night’s 36-point victory.
Greene was charged for striking Carlton’s Nick Newman during the third quarter at GIANTS Stadium.
The incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact, body contact.
It was classified as a $3000 section as a first office with Greene able to accept a $2000 sanction with an early plea.
Greene starred for the GIANTS, kicking four goals, including a 67-metre torpedo after the quarter time siren.
Contact between GWS GIANTS' Toby Greene and Umpire Jacob Mollison from the third quarter of Saturday’s match between the GWS GIANTS and Carlton was assessed.
It was determined by the MRO that Greene’s actions did not constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
