Foundation player Aimee Schmidt has returned home to Western Australia after five years at the club. 

Schmidt has played 23 games and kicked 10 goals in her time at the club. 

The two clubs came to an agreement for Schmidt to join the Eagles via restricted Free Agency. 

GIANTS Head of Women’s Football Briana Harvey wished Schmidt well. 

“We thank Aimee for her continued contribution to the GIANTS across the past five seasons. 

“She’s had a wonderful impact on our group both on and off the field. 

“The time was right for Aimee to return full-time to Western Australia after years of juggling her time between the two states and we wish her well with the Eagles.” 

The AFLW trade period runs until 2pm on Wednesday with the re-signing period closing at 2pm on Wednesday, June 16.
