While the final siren has sounded on the GIANTS’ AFLW season, our GIANTS players are still kicking goals.
Young guns Georgia Garnett and Alyce Parker were included in the AFL Players Association 22under22 squad.
Garnett, a product of the AFL NSW/ACT pathway, debuted for the GIANTS in round three this year in her second year in the program.
After making her debut against the Gold Coast Suns, the 19-year-old went on to play all remaining games for the GIANTS in the nine-round season.
With abilities as a utility, Garnett played predominately in defence, but still managed to finish the season with the sixth-highest average disposals, listed in the top 10 for the GIANTS among some of the more experienced and veteran campaigners.

Alyce Parker has been a dominant force for a few seasons now that we almost forget she is still under 22.
The 20-year-old was named not only in the 22under22 squad, but also the All Australian Squad for a second year in the row.
The Holbrook local backed up an outstanding 2020 season with an equally impressive 2021 season, with the youngster no doubt the favourite to take out back-to-back Gabrielle Trainor Medals.
Parker sat atop of the stats board for not only the GIANTS but also the competition right from the get go.
She finished the season with the equal-highest average disposals for the league with 23.9 a game.

Not only did Parker earn recognition in the AFLPA 22under22 squad and the All-Australian squad but also the WOMENS.AFL Team of the Year. The team of the week votes compiled into an overarching final team.
Alongside Parker in the WOMENS.AFL’s Team of the Year was her housemate, Cora Staunton.
Staunton led the GIANTS for goals scored for a second year in a row, with a total of 10 goals for the season.
The 39-year-old is the oldest player in the competition, but is a consistent performer for the GIANTS in her fourth season
