Young defender Jeremy Finlayson will have hip surgery this week but there are no other new injuries to report ahead of the GIANTS’ Preliminary Final on Saturday.
Following the WSU GIANTS’ NEAFL Premiership win a little over a week ago, the second-year GIANT will have surgery on a troublesome hip which will keep him sidelined until close to Christmas.
With the AFL team having a week off ahead of this Saturday’s Preliminary Final clash with the Western Bulldogs at Spotless Stadium, the GIANTS’ injury list remains small heading into the big game.
Both Jack Steele (foot) and Paul Ahern (knee) have had successful surgeries in recent weeks while Jarrod Pickett continues his comeback from a season-ending foot injury.
The GIANTS take on the Western Bulldogs for a spot in the 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final on Saturday at 5.15pm at Spotless Stadium.
