Former Docker Jesse Hogan has become a GIANT on day one of Trade Period.

After Hogan indicated a desire to join the club earlier this week, the GIANTS and Fremantle came to an agreement that will see the 25-year old pull on the orange jumper next year.

Fremantle will receive pick 54 from the GIANTS, which the club received earlier today from the West Coast Eagles following Zac Langdon’s departure west.

Hogan has played 90 AFL games and kicked 170 goals since joining Melbourne via the 2012 Mini Draft.

He played 71 games for the Demons before adding 19 appearances for Fremantle over the last two seasons.

Standing at 195cm and weighing in at 99kg, Hogan will join the GIANTS on a one-year contract.

GIANTS General Manager Football Jason McCartney welcomed Jesse to the club.

“We’re delighted to come to an agreement with Fremantle as we think Jesse is a great fit for the GIANTS,” said McCartney.

“He’s a mature hard running and strong-marking player who, at his best, can have a big impact on-field.

“He’s excited to continue his career with us and his commitment is a great endorsement for our club.”

The GIANTS now hold draft picks 10, 30, 43, 51, 73 and 87.
