Israel Folau has told Eddie McGuire that he loves the game of AFL and is committed to the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS.
Appearing alongside GIANTS teammate Jeremy Cameron on EMT on Fox Footy, Folau claimed that his decision to move from Rugby League to AFL was one that he made for both himself and his family.
“It’s been a pretty good experience for me so far,” Folau said. “At such a young age I thought I achieved the things that I wanted to in Rugby League and then I was looking for something different.
“At the moment, my job is with the GIANTS and to be honest I haven’t really thought about anything else. I’m starting to get the hang of it now and it’s helped me to play as many games as I have this year.”
Folau said that he, like many Australians is enjoying the game of AFL and it’s complexities.“I think it’s an absolutely great game. It’s a very hard game to play, especially if you’re learning it at a high level.
“It’s a game that a lot of people in Australia enjoy and they love watching and playing… I’ve experienced the same thing. It’s going to take some time so I just have to be patient with myself.”
