The GIANTS have brought 519 games of experience into their line-up for Sunday’s match against the West Coast Eagles. 

The changes include superstar forward Toby Greene, veteran Shane Mumford, defender Adam Kennedy and forward Daniel Lloyd who all come into the side. 

As announced on Friday, key forward Jake Riccardi will become the club’s fifth debutant of the season and third in as many weeks.

A special unboxing in our Perth hub

Bobby Hill and Zac Williams unbox a special package that arrived in time for Sir Doug Nicholls Round against the Eagles.

“It’s great to have Toby, Daniel and Adam back from their respective injuries this week,” coach Leon Cameron said.

“They’re mature players who will have an immediate impact and they’ve each missed a bit of footy so will be really excited to be back out there.

“Jake is an older draftee who has continued to develop really well since he joined the club at the end of last season. 

“He’s a bit of a different player than we have up forward and we’re looking forward to him providing a contest on Sunday.”

Out of the side are Tom Hutchesson (injured), Sam Jacobs, Xavier O’Halloran, Jeremy Finlayson, Lachie Ash and Zac Langdon (all omitted). 

“Clearly our performance last week wasn’t up to scratch so we’ve made some changes and rewarded some players who deserve an opportunity,” Cameron said.

Cameron said he’s looking forward to his side being able to get back out on the field after a long 10-day break between matches due to quarantine requirements.

“We know we were nowhere near the mark last round but we’ve had a good chance to look at a few things this week and we’re ready to take on one of the form teams of the competition.”
