Greater Western Sydney GIANTS head coach Kevin Sheedy will make a guest appearance on tomorrow night’s special edition of Flash Footy on Fox Sports at 7pm.

In an exciting television first for Australia, Flash Footy will focus on Indigenous and multicultural themes in AFL and Australian society as a whole.

Sheedy will appear alongside AFL greats, Michael Long, Michael O’Loughlin, Adam Goodes and David Wirrapanda ahead of the AFL’s Indigenous round and Dreamtime at the G match this weekend.

Sheedy said that he was keen for the GIANTS to be involved with this exciting project as the club is based in one of the most culturally diverse regions in Australia with one of the highest Indigenous populations.

“We’re so proud to be part of this region. As a club we're developing community programs focused on health, education and employment initiatives for Indigenous and multicultural communities in the GIANTS region of five million people.

“The long term plan for our home base is to create a community precinct that everyone can enjoy and a multicultural focus is a big part of that for us.

“Initiates like Flash Footy are important for the whole community to celebrate some of the great stories within AFL and Australia,” Sheedy said.

Flash Footy is produced by one of Australia’s most successful sports journalists and presenters, Tiffany Cherry and will be aired twice on Fox Sports One this year, tomorrow night and again before the AFL’s multicultural round in July.
