GREATER Western Sydney dominates trade talk on Tuesday morning, with newspapers across Australia reporting they are prepared to part with early NAB AFL Draft picks to secure a star player.

That star could be Kurt Tippett, with Giants list manager Stephen Silvagni telling the Daily Telegraph the club is ready to step in if the Sydney Swans can't reach an agreement with Adelaide for the key forward.

"The Crows certainly know we've got some interest in him," Silvagni told the Sydney newspaper.

The Giants hold picks one, two, three, 12 and 13 in next month's draft on the Gold Coast, and Silvagni has said they're willing to part with all but pick one for the right deal.

The Herald Sun says Greater Western Sydney has also made inquiries about Carlton ruckman Robert Warnock, who signed a new contract with the Blues during the 2012 season.

And it reports that Collingwood big man Chris Dawes will nearly double his pay packet with a change of clubs.

The newspaper says the key forward could earn as much as $500,000 a season with Melbourne, his preferred trade destination.

The Magpies and Demons are yet to finalise a deal for the 24-year-old, with the Western Bulldogs said to be still in the hunt should talks not progress.

Geelong continues to draw closer to a deal for North Melbourne ruckman Hamish McIntosh, with Damian Barrett reporting onAFL.com.au's Trade Radio on Monday afternoon the Cats are expected to hand over pick 36, along with an exchange of later picks.

Also on Trade Radio, Farren Ray's manager Marty Pask said the midfielder was likely to see out his contract at St Kilda, after earlier meeting with Melbourne.

The Courier Mail reports the Brisbane Lions are in a five-way struggle for the services of free agent Clinton Young.

The Hawthorn wingman is considering an offer from his existing club, but has also attracted interest from the Lions, Collingwood, Port Adelaide and Essendon.

The Gillette AFL Free Agency Period ends on Friday.

And the Adelaide Advertiser says Port Adelaide's interest in former Melbourne forward Liam Jurrah is growing stronger.

The Power are considering inviting Jurrah to join pre-season training, before making a decision on whether to select him in the rookie draft in December.

"From the club's meetings, we've found him (Jurrah) a terrific fella and one who's obviously really respected in his community, but we're taking our time because there's a lot to work through," Port chief executive Keith Thomas said.

Jurrah faces trial in March over an alleged assault at the Little Sisters Town Camp near Alice Springs earlier this year.
