Greater Western Sydney GIANTS young gun Tom Scully will play his 50th AFL game at SKODA Stadium on Saturday.
Scully has averaged just over 20 disposals across his 18 games for the GIANTS this season while playing a shut down role on some of the AFL’s biggest names.
The quick midfielder spoke exclusively to GIANTS TV and said that while he was happy to reach the 50 game milestone, he hoped that it was just the first in a long and prosperous career with the club.
“To get to 50 games is a pretty good achievement for me,” Scully said.

“In my first three years I haven’t been in a really successful side, I’ve been in sides that are developing. Over the next couple of years I’m really looking forward to playing in a more competitive side with the GIANTS.”
Scully said that while he has learned a great deal on and off the field in his three years in the AFL system, he still has a lot of areas to improve on.
“I’m looking to get a lot more consistency in my game and that will come with time and experience.
“I’ve had a lot of stuff going on off the field which a lot of players in their third year probably haven’t had to deal with but it’s all a good learning curve for me and something that I have learned a lot from.”
Scully said that he had enjoyed his first year with the GIANTS and is excited about the future prospects of the club’s developing list.
“I love footy, I always have and… being around a great bunch of people everyday makes your job pretty easy.
“There’s no doubt that we are starting to build a really good list here of very talented players.”
