Greater Western Sydney GIANTS Number One Ticket Holder Melissa Doyle has paid the ultimate tribute to Kevin Sheedy as he reaches 1000 games as a player or coach.
“You are AFL in this country,” Doyle told GIANTS TV.

“It’s an amazing record. You’ve inspired so many people. What you’re now doing with the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS is just so exciting.
“One day, when that premiership cup is in our hands you can be very, very proud of what you’ve done, not only for the whole entire game and the history of the AFL but the history of AFL here in Sydney.
“It’s going to go onwards and upwards, it’s going to be wonderful.
“I hope today is a really, really special day so congratulations from me and congratulations from everybody.”
The GWS coach will reach 1000 games when the GIANTS take on Port Adelaide at SKODA Stadium today.
