It was “GIANTS Day” at the Sydney Royal Easter Show yesterday as Greater Western Sydney gave fans the opportunity to mingle with the stars of the club.

The players signed autographs, posed for photos and kicked the footy.

GIANTS forward Jeremy Cameron enjoyed the country feel of the Show and said it reminded him of his hometown of Dartmoor, which has a population of only 150 people.

“I did check out the animals to remind me a bit of home,” said Cameron.

“We’re here with a lot of kids, there’s more kids here kicking the ball than in my entire hometown.”

Cameron joked that teammate Steve Coniglio was taken by the quieter side of the show.

“Steve, we couldn’t get him off it, he loves the animals, the little lambs, he thinks they’re cute. We’ve got Dom Tyson keeping him under control.”

Tyson was quick to join the fun, adding: “Steve went in to see the animals, we couldn’t get him out of there. I’m a bit more of a rides man.”

Cameron was in his element, refusing to spare Jacob Townsend.

“Jacob Townsend was talking about Barbie showbags, he’s really into that sort of thing.”
