The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS have formed an exciting partnership with the Accelerated Sports Management Program (ASMP) to help students kick start their careers in sport.
This unique diploma program was launched in 2011 and is now available Australia wide, allowing students to learn about the sports industry, from the sports industry.
ASMP CEO Michael Bokody said that the company was thrilled to be able to offer the program in 12 locations Australia-wide including Western Sydney starting in February 2013.

“The ASMP has formed an association with the GIANTS to help promote education in Western Sydney through the use of sport,” Bokody said.
“A number of players will actually undertake the program as well to help them learn more about the industry they work in."
Bokody said students would have a chance to learn a range of skills that would help them embark on a career in the sports industy.
“They will be coverthings like talent identification, scouting, contracts, sponsorship, sports marketing, athlete welfare as well as sports administration.
“Our mantra for the program is ‘learn about the industry, from the industry’.
“Students will be able to undertake work experience placements and also learn what the industry really is.
“The GIANTS players that we’ve got doing it at the moment are absolute rippers so I think that they will do just fine,” Bokody said.
