The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS have made five changes to its side ahead of this weekend’s Prime Minister’s Cup match against the Western Bulldogs at Manuka Oval.

Former Western Bulldog player Sam Reid comes into to the side to make his debut for the GIANTS against his old club, while eighteen-year-old Taylor Adams will make his AFL debut.

Adams is a tough midfielder recruited from the Geelong Falcons with pick number 13 in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft and now becomes the 21st GIANTS player to make his AFL debut in 2012.

The GIANTS also welcome back three young guns in Stephen Coniglio, Jeremy Cameron and Toby Green.

Rhys Palmer, Tim Mohr and Dean Brogan have all been ruled out of the side due to injury, while Anthony Miles and Adam Kennedy have been omitted.

“We’ve got some of our players who were rested last week coming back in to the side including Jeremy Cameron, Toby Greene. Stephen Coniglio will return after missing out last week with a virus.

“Sam Reid and Taylor Adams will come in to the side to play their first game for the GIANTS.

“We are resting a couple of players this week, I think it’s important that we do that with a young team to make sure that everyone is fresh.

“We are looking forward to this game, it’s our first ever four point AFL game at Manuka Oval.

“It will be the first Prime Minister’s Cup and we are thrilled to be able to play this game celebrating the administration that runs this great county.”
