Young GIANTS player Taylor Adams has informed the club that he has been charged with assault after an incident in Geelong in January.

GIANTS chief executive David Matthews said the club had been awaiting the outcome of an investigation since January when the club announced Adams was assisting police with their inquiries.

“Taylor has indicated to the club that he will exercise all his legal rights. As it is now a legal matter and will go before the courts, the club has no further comment at this time,” he said.

Taylor was selected with pick 13 in the last November’s NAB AFL Draft.
