Tom Scully’s 30 possessions and a goal in Saturday’s record breaking win against Brisbane has seen him claim the maximum 10 votes in the AFL Coaches Association Awards.

GIANTS coach Leon Cameron and the Lions coach Justin Leppitsch both awarded Scully five votes for his standout game on the wing.

While Scully polled the maximum 10 votes, the 23 year old wasn’t alone with the GIANTS having a clean sweep of the AFLCA votes for the second time this season.

Midfielder’s Lachie Whitfield (8 votes), Dylan Shiel (5) and Callan Ward (3) also featured prominently.

Whitfield collected 32 disposals and kicked a goal in the win, while Shiel had 27 touches and booted two goals. Co-captain Ward was also influential with 31 disposals.

Defender Tim Mohr, in just his third game back in his return from a foot injury was notable in defense, receiving 2 votes, forward Jeremy Cameron (1) booted four goals and ruckman Shane Mumford (1) amassed an incredible 36 hit outs.

The GIANTS are aiming to repeat the same performance against Carlton this Sunday at Spotless Stadium as they look to record back to back wins for the first time in the club’s history.

The GIANTS host Carlton at Spotless Stadium this Sunday, June 22 at 1.10pm. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com.au.
