The Greater Western Sydney GIANTS have today received picks 2, 31, 51 and 60 in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft from the Brisbane Lions in exchange for picks 3 and 16.
Picks 31 and 51 come to the GIANTS following last year’s Ryan Bastinac-James Aish trade while pick 16 heading to the Lions was part of the four player trade between the GIANTS and Carlton in 2015.
GIANTS General Manager Football Wayne Campbell said: “this deal further strengthens our position ahead of next month’s draft.
“By securing the second pick, we are well placed to secure some of the best young talent in the country.
“We’ll look to continue to strengthen our playing list and position in the draft during the remainder of the trade period.”
The GIANTS currently hold picks 2, 15, 31, 37, 51, 55, 60 and 109 at next month’s NAB AFL Draft.
