Lachie Whitfield and Josh Hunt are among four changes to the GIANTS team to play the West Coast Eagles at Patersons Stadium on Sunday.
Whitfield was the number one pick in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft and hasn’t played since Round 2 due to a foot injury.
Dual premiership player Josh Hunt also returns to the side after missing last week's game against Port Adelaide in Canberra.
Ruckman Andrew Phillips has overcome recurring hamstring injuries and will play his first game since Round 22, 2012 while defender Aidan Corr has been named for the first time this season.
Forward Jeremy Cameron (ear), Midfielder Adam Treloar (ankle) and defender Curtly Hampton (ankle) will all miss the match in Perth due to injury while Jono O'Rourke has been omitted.
Nathan Wilson, Kristian Jaksch and Jono O'Rourke have been named as the emergencies.
GIANTS Head Coach Leon Cameron said: “It’s fantastic to see Lachie Whitfield back in the side after being sidelined for four weeks with a foot injury.
"It’s also great to see Andrew Phillips playing his first game of the year. He missed all of last year with a hamstring issue and he’s been playing some really good football in the ruck in the NEAFL.
"It’s a huge task for us to go across to Perth to take them on but it’s one we’re really looking forward to.
"We go into every game thinking we can win, and this one is no different. We’re coming off an eight day break and we’re ready to roll, we understand we’ve got the bye after this so we’re not going to leave anything in the tank,” he said.
The GIANTS play West Coast on Sunday at 4.40pm EST. The match will be broadcast in NSW and the ACT on Fox Footy and 7mate.
