Midfielder Stephen Coniglio and defender Nick Haynes will face fitness tests ahead of the GIANTS’ clash with St Kilda at Spotless Stadium on Sunday.
Coniglio has missed the last two matches with a grade two AC joint injury while Haynes sat out the last game against Richmond with groin soreness.
The pair will be put through their paces during the GIANTS’ main training session on Thursday before the squad is named that night. The final 22 will be named on gwsgiants.com.au at 5pm on Friday.
Forward Adam Tomlinson made a successful return through the NEAFL last weekend after missing 12 weeks with a toe injury.
GIANTS Head of Athletic Performance David Joyce said the 22-year-old impressed with his work-rate around the ground.
“We were really pleased with Adam who had a magnificent comeback match,” Joyce said
“He played 74 per cent of the game time and got through without an issue which was great.”
Key forward Jon Patton and defender Tim Mohr continue their recovery from knee injuries while defenders Phil Davis (ankle) and Joel Patfull (ribs) remain in the rehab group.
Shane Mumford also continues his recovery from ankle surgery last month.
