Dear Sydney Swans fans,
We hope you’re excited as us for Sydney Derby VIII at Spotless Stadium on Saturday, August 22.
It promises to be a big game for both clubs and could strongly influence the structure of the final eight leading into finals.
We’re expecting the game to draw a big crowd so make sure you grab tickets well in advance to avoid disappointment.
General Admission has already reached capacity and SkyDeck seats have also been exhausted.
To make you feel at home we’ve split the stadium so you will be able to sit in designated “Swans Bays” along with other like-minded supporters (you can purchase your tickets here).
Just make sure you dress for the occasion because you will be surrounded by a sea of orange.
Transport to Spotless Stadium has never been easier with trains running direct from Central Station every 20 minutes on match day.
Don’t forget your journey to the ground is free just by purchasing a match ticket.
If you have never been to our home ground it’s well worth the trip – Spotless Stadium was voted by fans as the best stadium in Australia and is widely respected as a world-class venue. Click here to go on a tour of the stadium with Adam Treloar.
To keep you entertained at half time we have performances on the Virgin Australia Stage featuring classic rock band the CHOIRBOYS and Aussie rock icon Shannon Noll.
There’s even kick-to-kick on the oval after the final siren and a post-match function back at GIANTS HQ (which of course you are welcome to attend as well).
We can’t promise you a Sydney Swans win, but we can guarantee you a great afternoon of family entertainment.
Fingers crossed for good weather, well, better than last time anyway.
Hope to see you at the footy.
Kind Regards,
GWS GIANTS
