Kevin Sheedy’s dream of recognising Southern NSW’s best footballers will be realised next month when the Riverina AFL Team Of The Century is named.
The likes of Wayne Carey, Paul Kelly, Shane Crawford, Alan Jeans and the Daniher brothers head a list of 50 names from which the Team of the Century will be selected.
AFL NSW/ACT, AFL Riverina and the GIANTS have worked in conjuction to finalise the team which will be presented at a gala function at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club on Friday, March 20.
Sheedy, who originally raised the idea more than two years ago, will be a guest speaker on the night, alongside Team Of The Century nominees John Longmire, Dennis Carroll and Paul Kelly.
