LAST WEEK

A 30-point win saw some big Fantasy scores for the GIANTS, none bigger than Callan Ward’s 149 from is 32 disposals. Shane Mumford has a massive 51 hit outs to help him to 121 while Adam Treloar racked up 120.

Midfielder Stephen Coniglio had 72 points at half time but was quiet for the rest of the game to post his fourth score in the nervous 90s in five weeks.

Toby Greene has been spending a lot of time forward and is in line for DPP next week. He might be a lot cheaper after being subbed out for just 38 points.

TOP 5 SCORERS V BRISBANE LIONS

  • 149 – Callan Ward (MID, $555,000)
  • 121 – Shane Mumford (RUC, $520,000)
  • 120 – Adam Treloar (MID, $542,000)
  • 109 – Devon Smith (FWD, $509,000)
  • 96 – Joshua Kelly (FWD/MID, $330,000)

ON THE RADAR

The byes start this weekend where we have three rounds where six teams will have a bye.

If you are just worrying about your default Classic league, then there are no games over the next three weeks however you are still able (and should) make trades to make your team better as you resume head-to-head battles in round 14.

If you are going for overall ranking, then you need to be fielding as many players are possible each week as your best 18 scores from within your 22 on field players will count towards your score each round.

The GIANTS have the round 13 bye and are gaining popularity due to this.

I like the look of Joshua Kelly at $330,000. The FWD/MID has a breakeven of 48 and with 96 on the weekend. $65,000 down from his starting price, he might be a good stepping stone over the next couple of weeks to help you field as many players as possible.

WHAT’S COMING UP

In round 22 last year, the Magpies took the four points with an eight point win.

This Sunday at the MCG, Toby Greene will be hoping he doesn’t wear the vest again as he was impressive with 42 touches and 165 Fantasy points in the previous fixture. Joshua Kelly will be a good pick if he can score anywhere near the 117 he had last time.
