The GIANTS are delighted to announce that Toyo Tires have extended their commitment as the club's co-major partner.
After coming on board as the GIANTS' co-major partner earlier this year, the leading international tyre brand has today agreed to renew its partnership with the AFL's youngest club until the end of 2018.
With Toyo Tires recommitting and star recruit Brett Deledio pulling on the GIANTS jumper for the first time today, GIANTS fans have plenty to be excited about in 2017.
The announcement of the two-year extension comes following the GIANTS' breakout 2016 season which saw the club reach the finals for the first time.
Toyo Tires’ Australian Chief Executive Officer, Michael Rudd, said the sponsorship renewal demonstrated well deserved confidence in the club, fans and team.
“We are proud to commit to the team and the fans for 2017 and 2018, with a view to a long relationship," Mr Rudd said.
“2016 has been a coming-of-age season. The GIANTS are challenging the traditional powers in the AFL, and Toyo Tires challenges tyre market leaders. The GIANTS’ energy, spirit and community values are a great match for the Toyo Tires brand.”
GWS GIANTS Chief Executive Officer David Matthews said the tyre maker’s commitment would see the brand tied to the GIANTS’ bright future.
“Toyo Tires’ mantra of ‘driven to perform’ resonates with the GIANTS. The brand is now a vital part of the GIANTS, inseparable from the story of our club’s journey from bottom of the ladder to a maiden finals appearance this year.
“The support of Toyo Tires has been crucial this year as we recorded extraordinary growth both on and off the field. Reflecting on our most successful AFL season to date, we are delighted to extend our partnership with Toyo Tires.”
Virgin Australia continue as a co-major partner of the GIANTS with Toyo Tires’ co-major sponsorship coming with options for extension to 2020.
