The GIANTS’ AFL Women’s team has arrived at Tom Wills Oval for their very first day of work.
The 28 excited players walked through the doors of GIANTS HQ for the first time as members of the club’s inaugural AFL Women’s team.
The team began pre-season training on Monday where they were welcomed to the club and introduced to their new home for the next five months.
Coach Tim Schmidt went through his coaching expectations and outlined the program for the next 12 weeks which will see the player train four nights a week.
The sessions will be a combination of skills, fitness, football education and game plan as they prepare for the first ever AFL Women’s competition to begin in February 2017.
