The GIANTS have received a future second-round pick from Fremantle in exchange for defender Nathan Wilson.
The two clubs have also exchanged fourth round selections in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft with the GIANTS moving up from 71 to 57.
The 24-year-old was pre-listed by the GIANTS in 2010 as a 17-year-old access selection and debuted in round one, 2012; the club’s first game in the AFL.
The attacking half-back played 77 games for the GIANTS in his six seasons in the AFL.
GIANTS List Manager Craig Cameron said the deal satisfied all parties.
“Nathan was keen to return to WA for family reasons and we were willing to do what we could to ensure this took place,” said Cameron.
“We wish him well in the next stage of his career and thank him of his commitment and contribution to the GIANTS over the past seven years.”
The GIANTS currently hold picks 11, 27, 65, 57 and 89 in the 2017 NAB AFL Draft as well as a 2018 round three draft selection from Essendon and the 2018 round two draft selection from Fremantle.
