GIANTS forward Toby Greene has been ruled out of the forthcoming Virgin Australia International Rules Series due to a broken toe.

Greene suffered the injury to his little toe after accidently hitting his left foot against a wall while abroad in New York.

While the injury will see the 24-year-old miss the International Rules Series, with games to be played on November 12 and 18, it won’t impact his pre-season training program with the GIANTS.

“While this is a minor injury it will mean Toby misses the International Rules Series which was an opportunity we had encouraged Toby to take up,” said GIANTS General Manager of Football Wayne Campbell.

”Fortunately for the GIANTS Toby will be ready to commence pre-season training with us on December 4.”
