GIANTS Midfielder Tendai Mzungu has been elevated to the GIANTS’ senior list after defender Matthew Buntine was today placed on the long-term injury list.
Mzungu debuted for the GIANTS in round one and has recently returned to the club’s NEAFL side after recovering from a serious hamstring injury.
The 31-year-old joined the GIANTS in last year’s rookie draft after 102 games with Fremantle.
Meanwhile, Buntine – who signed a two-year contract extension early last month – will continue his recovery from a knee reconstruction on the long-term injury list.
The defender played the first two games of 2017 before injuring his knee at training with scans revealing a pre-existing partially torn ACL that will keep the 23-year old sidelined for the remainder of the year.
