The GIANTS’ home at the WestConnex Centre will play host to a number of international athletes as a training facility during the Invictus Games.
Sydney is host to the 2018 Games, which start on October 20 and will see 500 wounded, injured and ill servicemen and women from 18 countries compete.
The GIANTS will be supporting the Games by opening up their elite facility – including the gym, conference rooms and changerooms – to athletes, coaches and support staff.
Over the eight days of the Games, athletes will compete across a range of sports, including archery, athletics, powerlifting, road cycling, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, swimming and more.
Two members of Team Great Britain show off their muscles during at training session at the WestConnex Centre.
Prince Harry, who founded the Games in 2014, is with Meghan Markle in Australia on a Royal Tour coinciding with the Games.
GIANTS AFLW captain Amanda Farrugia and co-captain Alicia Eva are among sports invitees to a reception on Sunday for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, hosted by the Prime Minister.
Competitors and representatives of the Games will also be in attendance.
